MONTHLY MEETING.

The following business, in addition to tliai reporteu in oaturuays “isew AenXuau. x imes,” was trammeled by tlio Band Board :

Titles were granted to Messrs T. O’Sullivaii (section zt, mock b, nauiapu) and id. iTuiiy (section haa, block 8, tvaiohme;. Permission was granted to Mr G. Bros bie to convert ms tenure of section 60, block 8, Aiungatiao, into leaso-m-perpe-tuity. A similar application by Mr vV'. McAlister, witn regard to section 2, block 6, ivaitioke, was held over. • il was ueciueu to oouuu a report from the Crown Bands Ranger in connection wicn tne application oi Mr W , r . Bills for permission to sublet part of section 2, block b, Makatuku, to Mr K. B. Goldfinch.

Mrs E. T. Parker was granted permission to sublet section 24, block 4, Mangahao, for twelve months, on the usual conditions, and provided that the terms are equitable and fair. Permission was also granted to Mr D. Fraser to sublet section C, block 1, Mangaiiao, to Mr E. Cook for two years, subject to the amendment of clauses 6 and 8 of the sub-lease.

The timber expert called the attention of tho Board to the fact that persons were squatting on section 57, Ohakune township extension No. 2. It was decided to notify such persons, through tho police, that they must quit tbe land. It was resolved to call for public tenders for the sale of unsold sections in block 2, Pohangina township. The Rangafcaua Timber Company was granted permission to build a dam on the stream in section 8, block 5, Karioi, and to take water therefrom a distance of fifteen chains to the mill. The following . conditions were, however, imposed : —As little vegetation as possible to he cut, and any cut to be removed, so as to preclude the possibility of fire; the company not to have the exclusive right- to all the water, but to leave a fair flow in the bed of the stream; the water to be used for the mill only, and not for the purposes of revenue, such as electric lighting, etc.; the race reserve to bo not more than fifteen links wide; the company to ho responsible for all damage arising from its operations. An eighth of an acre on section 101, Kimholton, was reserved for a Town Hall site, and section 1, Xaitieke township suburbs, for a school site.
