TIMELY RESCUE ASHORE ON ALASKAN COASTSURVIVORS REACH SEATTLE IN A CUTTER. By Telegraph—Proea Association—Copyright SAN FRANCISCO, September 25News has reached here of the loss of the American ship John Currier, a wooden vessel of 1945 tons, built in 1882, and commanded by Captain Murchison, The John Currier was wrecked at Bristol Bay, Alaska. Fortunately the revenue cutter Thetis appeared on the scene opportunely, and rescued survivors numbering 242. These were conveyed to Seattle.^
