ART PURCHASES

Mr Pierpont Morgan has purchased at Paris £200,000 worth of Hoentschel’s collection of carvings, statuary, and furniture, one of the finest collections in the world. He will present the Renaissance portion, of his purchase to the New York Metropolitan Museum.
