THE Duties of the County Engineer era to take charge and control of all works within the County, to employ men. and carts, and to keep their time, to lay ont works in contracts, take levels and calculate quantities, prepare plans and specifications, and see to the due execution of all works under contract as well as by day labour. A room will be set apart in the County 1 Offices for the use of the County Engineer for drawing plans and. preparing specifications, estimates of costs, etc. | The salary has been fixed at .£260 per; annum, and as the Engineer will be ex-' pected to frequently visit all parts of tho district a travelling of JESO per annum is added to the salary.
