There is a slight tendency in buyers’ favour, but holders aro fairly firm, in view of the uncerta'n crop prospects in Europe and America. Cargoes arc neglected. Flour—There is nothing doing. Butter—Tho market is ’3at. Danish weak at 105 s; choicest New Zealand, 100 s to 101 s; Australian, 96s to 98s; unsaltod, 100 s to 102 s: Argentine, IOOs. Cheese is slow of sale. New Zealand, 63s to 645; Queensland, 50s to 545. Sugar is fiat. Gorman beet, 88deg., Id lower, at 9s 2d: first-mark granulated, f.o.b. Hamburg, 2d lower, at 10s lOd per cwt. Bradford Tops—The market is firm) and prices ars unchanged. Dalgety and Co. have received the following cables from London, dated 4th inst.: — Frozen Meat.—Better demand for lamb—principally for finest qualities. Fair demand for mutton. Poor de-
mand for beef. Ale quote- New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy 53d, light 5Jd ; North Island, heavy 4|d, light 4pl. -scv. Zealand n-ino crossbred mutton, Ca.-i----tei'burv, heavy 33d, light 4|d; Noit.i Island," heavy 3M light -id. New Zealand prime ox beef, fores -»d, hinds 3&d’. , ' Butter.—Tho Copenhagen official quotation is lower by 4 kroner (about 4s 6d) per cwt.
