ANOTHER £IOO FOR PRIZES. Some idea of tho widespread antici. patory interest which the £4OO prize farm competitions are exciting is to bo gathered from the communications which daily roach us. Amongst tho latest of those is ono from the firm of To thill Limited, of Invercargill, to tho effect that their principals, the famous and enterprising English seed firm of "Buttons," will supplement tho prizo fund with £IOO for prize-winners using their seeds. The advice has come from Loudon, with the further intimation that tho firm will toko steps to open a depot in 'Wellington very shortly, whence their seeds will ho forwarded. This prompt recognition of the Value of tho competition by firms of world-wide renown is evidence of their appreciation of the good work which farm competitions can accomplish, and of tho special importance of this ono—the biggest yet projected in the SouthAm Hemisphere.
