A STATEMENT DENIED. press association. DUNEDIN, April 5. Mr Millar, MiiuVaor for ’Labour, gives a flat denial to the report that an officer of tho Labour Department is to be sent Home to bring out labouring men, owing to tho scarcity of skilled and unskilled labour. Tho Minister says tho policy of tho Government, determined some time ago, is to give assisted passages to domestic servants, and agricultural labourers only.
