There will be a pantomime in Sydney at Mr Williamson s theatre, as well as in Melbourne. "Parsifal" will be the chief Christmas attraction at Her Majesty’s in Sydney, as originally intended: but in order to provide amusement for the children, a system of daily matinees will be established, the piece chosen for this purpose being "Alice in Wonderland ” which will be played mainly by children, who have already begun training, under the direction of Miss Minnie Everett. This week there were unprecedented scenes at the theatre, about 2000 children, it is estimated, applying in responee to the advertisements. "Alice in Woidci-lmd,” it is interesting to note, is about to be revived in London by Mr Seymour Hicks in December, probably at Wyndham’s Theatre, and Miss Marie Studhol-e, who has entered into a two years contract with the well-known actor-manager, will appear in this revival. . Massenet’s new opera. "Ariane. is being rehearsed at the Grand Opera in Paris, and will he produced early next month. The libretto has been written by M.
