SUPPOSED TREASURE ISLAND
(Received August 26, 4.24 p.m.) LONDON, August 25. Tho Capetown correspondent of the “ Daily Telegraph ” says it is understood that the destination of tho steamer which has been chartered by a London syndicate to proceed to an unnamed island and search for diamonds, is Mercury Island, north of Angrn Pequona, off the west coast of South Africa.
