SUCCESSFULLY COMBATING DISEASE. (Extract from the "Press." Christchurch.) a newspaper representative ii who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr P. Webb, herbal specialist of this city, gained some idea of the widespread popularity of his method of successfully combating disease. On tho occasion mentioned, Mr Webb's appropriately furnished rooms in Colombo street north were filled with patients, and every minute saw the number increasing. From the tone of the numerous authentic testimonials received by Mr Webb from persons in almost every part of the colony who have been cured by his system of herbal and vegetable treatment, it appears that the cures effected have created a sensation amongst those who have haa them brought under their notice. In all over nine thousand casea have been dealt with by his system of treatment throughout New Zealand, and during the eighteen months Mr Webb has been established in this city he has treated close upon fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature of his system is that it does away with the necessity tor surgical operations in a largo number of cases where such operations are usually considered necessary. He has removed from the human body various growtns which aie usually only removed by means of operations. The esteem .* in which Mi Webb is held by his patients in this city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patients and expatients waited on him and presented him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. Tho address, which is artistically designed, and is signed by eightythree persons who have been benefited iby Mr Webb's system of treatment, rej fers to Mr Webb's skilful and valuable I services performed in this city and district during the past twelve months. Of some of the cases dealt with the signa- : tories deem it no exaggeration to say I that they border on tho miraculous; in 1 some instances complaints of twenty I years* standing have been cured, and in others he has been successful where medi--1 cal practitioners have given them up !as incurable. Address, 23, Ghuznee | street, Wellington. 282
