YACHTING.
The committee of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club met last even : ng. The Commodore of the club was in the chair. It was resolved that the postponement flog (N) should be hoisted over Harman’s boathouse to-day if necessary at a quarter to 1. It was agreed to postpone the first-class races until the Waitangi comes off the slip—about the middle of December. The dinghy races were postponed for three weeks so that Mr J. S. Swan’s dow boat from Auckland may be able to compete. The starting and finishing point for the races to-day will be an imaginary line from the southeast corner of Glasgow Wharf to the north-east comer of To Aro Baths building. Messrs M. Laing and T. P. Willaeon vro.ro appointed starters, judges and timekeepers for patikis, 14ft oil and steam launches and all boats under 14ft. Mr C. W. Tanner was appointed starter, judge, and timekeeper for tho races today. Subscription lists were distributed at'the meeting. It was resolved that the
Programme Committee meet at Mr J. S. Swan's office on Tuesday. The owners of the Waitangi are putting an oil engine into their boat. Mr Ere.vberg is doing the same with bis boat.
