. Midland juniors v. Borers.—Midland batted first and made 204—H. Davis 87 not out, Bruce 42, Carrad 26, Ballingal 15, Patterson 14. Hovers had lost four wickets for 53—W. Condliffe 20, E. Little 19. For Hovers, Newson took two for 29, Wighton 3 for 61, Wilkinson 1 for 33, T. Condliffe one for 41. For Midland, W. Gosling has secured three wickets for 2 runs, and C. Mitchell one for 16. Midland batted two men short. Midland third v. Newtown A—Midland 83 and 37—Banks 36, L. Cording 17. Newtown, 36 and 18 for two wickets— Little 17 For Midland, Bush took five for 22, Warburton three for 15. Of the Newtown bowlers, Walden secured five wickets, Edwards six, Mapleston and Jacobs two. Newtown batted four men short. Midland fourth v. Seaboun was won by the former by ten wickets. Scores—Midland 91 and no wickets for 6. Seatoun 53 and 43. Scorers for Midland were Bell 43, B. Gosling 18, Guthrie 11; for Seatouu, Dawson 18 and 14, Palmer 13, Hanley 10. Thorndon v. Albion. —Thorndon 53 and 34. Albion 100 for three wickets. For Thorndon, Everett (14 not out) and Bidmead (13) batted best. For Albion McDougall scored 50 not out, G. Guise 32. Bowling for Albion, Birch took eleven wickets for 19. G. Guise six for 23, Barnes one for 12. Parker one for 5; for Thorndon, Handle.two wickets for 19. . Soatoun v. Wadestown. —Seatoun 79; Bothamley 12, Hill 22, Little 21 not out, Gow 10. Wadestown S 3; Cook 10, Clarke 38, Withers 10. Harbour Board, playing against Trinity at Newtown Park, disposed of them for 19 runs in the first innings. Harbour Board compiled 99 Hamilton 20, Smith 16 not out, Edwards 13, Clarke 12. Bowling for the Harbour Board, Clarke secured four for six and Pike four for .10. Trinity in their second innings have made 43 for the loss of six wickets, and require 37 to save an inning's defeat. The Hutt Eecreation Ground was opened on Saturday afternoon by Mr T. W. McDonald (Mayor), there being a large number of cricketers and lady friends present. After a brief speech tlie. ground was formally opened by the Mayor bowling the first ball. Councillor G. M. Mason handed a bat to the Mayor to bo given to the cricketer securing the highest average score in recognised club cricket played on the ground during the season. Mr T. H. Wilson (captain of the Waiwetu Cricket Club) replied on behalf of the cricketers, after which a match Married v. Single was played. The latter won by 55 runs. . The scores were— Single 95 (Latham 33, Moon 14, Climie 12, Jones 11); Married 40 (Brice 15). Bedmond book six wickets for 19 runs. In the junior championship fixture, College v. Albion, the former won by two wickets and 49 runs. Principal scores. College—Otterson (36), Collins (30), Wilson (18), Pope (11). Albion Whiterod (26), Jamieson (19), Butler (15). For College Mason got six wickets for 27 runs, and Collins two for 30. Whiterod (two for 3) and Jamieson (two for 14) bowled best for Albion-
