ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE. The Opera House contained a large audience last night that witnessed xvith much interest the melodratoa “ Through tho Divorce Court,” as played by the Anderson Dramatic Company. The slory is one that appeals more or less to all classes of society, and the telling of it loses nothing from the capable" company at present at the Opera House. To-night is the last chance the public xvill have of seeing the piece, and to-morrow night a military drama of much spectacular merit entitled “The Death or Glory Boys,” will be staged. HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Seldom is a more varied and attractive programme submitted than that now contributed by Puller’s Entertainers at His Majesty’s Theatre. The numerous artists are each accorded a liberal bestoxval of applause, and-encores are the rule. THEATRE ROYAL. Music and mirth are happily blended in the excellent programme presented nightly at the Theatre Royal by Dix’s Gaiety Company. Messrs Frank Hnxvthorno and Garden Wilson are firmly established in the public favour. J. M. Barrie’s eccentric comedy “Little Alary," be’ng played by the BroughFlcming Company in Australia is described in the advertisements as "an uncomfortable play in threie acts." The Avalon-Collard Comedy-Operetta Company commenced an Australasian tour in Adelaide on Saturday night. The principal performer is the society humorist Mr Boland Henry, who has been before the London public for many years. The company has been imported to Australia by Mr Bdxvard Branscorabe, xvho brought the Westminster-CHee Singers to this colony. - Miss Hawthorne’© second annual "social” was held in the Alexandra Hall last evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with flags of all nations, and between 70 and 100 couples took part in the dancing, which was kept up till a late hour. A popular concert will be given by St, Peter’s Club and others next Friday evening. The full programme will be announced to-morrow.
