FINES FOR TRESPASS.
PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, Alay 30: At the Police Court to-day, John Graham and Robert Qartshire xvqre fined A 3 for trespassing on the Mosgiel Park racecourse. The point that the Taieri Amateur Turf Club xvas not the oxvnor xvas overruled by Mr Widdowson, S.AI.. it having been 'decided, under a Victorian Statute, that "owner" includes any person having actual and undisturbed' possession. Ilis Worship refused to iucreaso tho flue to permit of appeal. He said if there xvas no decrease in such cases the penalty xvould probably be raised, and opportunity thus afforded for appeal without asking leave.
