The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu did not get away from Timaru until 11 a.m. yesterday for AVellington, where she ie duo to-day. The vessel is to berth at No, 5, Glasgow wharf, and is to proceed to Lyttelton to-morrow afternoon for tho completition of her cargo for London. Mr S. Brown has chartered the Auck-land-owned barque Clan McLeod to load a full cargo of coui (950 tons) at Newcastle for AVellington. The Clan McLeod will go on the Newcastle berth about the end of June.

THE COASTAL SERVICE. The AATiinul on her arrival at ATellington to-morrow morning from tho AA 7 03 t Coast, Nelson, and Picton is to be laid up for her arrival overhaul. The Rotoiti is to sail from AArellington at noon on Saturday for Picton, Nelson, and AVest Coast in place of tho Wainui. Tho Pateena is to take up the Rotoiti's running, leaving AA'ellington at 8 p.m. - on Sunday for Nelson, New Plymouth, and Onehunga, The T© Anau, which has just been overhauled at Port Chalmers, is due at AA 7 ellington on Saturday morning, and will enter the \\ ellington-Lyt-tolton service, sailing from the former port at 11 p.m. on Saturday.
