The Company is being formed for the purpose of acquiring and taking over the "Patent Rights of McLeod’s Improved Continuously Heated Self-feeding Calorific Brand, as well as the Patent Rights of an Improved Liquid : Fuel Burner, for the manufacture and sale of the Patent Brands and Liquid Fuel Burners in New Zealand, and the selling of the Patent Eights in other parts of the world (except Great Britain), either right out, for a cash consideration, or on a royalty basis, or an interest in the form of fully paid-up shares (or any, combination or modification that the Company, after formation, may determine) in any Syndicate or Company that'may be formed in any country in which this Company may hold Patent Eights. Patent Eights for the Brand have been_ applied , for j through Messrs Park and Basley in Great Britain, New Zealand, Australia, United States of America, Canada, Argentine, Transvaal, Orange River Colony, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Belgium, 'France, Germany, Norway and Sweden. These rights have already been granted in Great Britain, JNew Zealand, and the Argentine Republic, and the application for the Commonwealth of Australia has been accepted under date Oth March, 1905. , Patent Eights for the Liquid Fuel Burner have also teen applied ior in Great Britain, Newt Zealand, New South Wales, Ignited States of America, Canada, and the Commonwealth of Australia, and have been granted in all of these countries, except, so far, the Commonwealth of Australia, N.B;—All the above Patent Rights and Applications are offered to the public, with the exception of Great Britain. ' Tne Vendor is to receive for his outlay in the purchase of the invention from the. inventor, and in developing the invention; and for his expenditure on the patent rights specified above, the sum of £3OOO in cash and £6OOO in fully paid-up shares, wnich will leave:the Company with a working capital of £3OOO. It is estimated that halt this amount will be .sufficient for the Company’s requirements, , ‘ ■ Many so-called Indelible Brands when used on inanimate objects are easily erased either by rubbing, scraping, planing, or other mechanical means, as well as by chemical means, s» that their claim to indelibility is hardly justified. The only known absolutely indelible brand that can be applied to objects, animate and inanimate, is that produced through the agency of heat, and the inventor, reognising this well-known fact, lias tiy a combination of mechanical appliances in conjunction with chemical and physical principles, evolved a simple, eontinuously-neated, solf-leeding brand, which overcomes all the difficulties and objections hereinbefore enumerated. The brand being made) in various forms, according to the nature of the work it has to perform, its utility can.bo gathered from the following:— i ■ ■ , USES. The scope and use of these brands is only limited by the melting point and inflammability of inanimate objects. The brand can be applied to all kinds of animals, more particularly horses, cattle, sheep, etc., etc., either under cover or in the open. The well-defined lines and indelibility of this brand render its use invaluable for branding wool packs, sacks, linen scrim coverings, hides, leather, butter boxes, wood cases, timber, contractors’ plants, railway trucks; brewers’ and other barrels and casks. War Office stocks and stores, Government and Municipal plant and property, bonded stores, pork hams, sides of bacon, etc., and also as an indestructible advertising medium for many purposes. In fact, tne brand is a useful everyday article tor innumerable purposes when the u’se of a brand is of commercial or economic advantage. Cattle can be branded rapidly, the animals being spared the amount of suffering that usually accompanied the old-fashioned method of branding with hot irons, owing to the speed with which they can be clearly marked with this new apparatus. Already many thousands of calves and other animals have been successfully branded with these brands by tbo Government Veterinary Department. Hitherto sheen (except in the case of. valuable stud stock) nave been earmarked with holes and notches, which method, as all sheep-farmers ‘are fully aware, has proved unsatisfactory, owing to these marks being easily tampered with. With the introduction of a Special Sheep Brand, narticularly for use on the face of sheep, and the very small cost at which sheep "can be indelibly brand-; ed, nameTy, less than one shilling per 1000 sheep, it is confidently anticipated that all sheep in future w?ll be branded with this Patent Brand. It is oonficlently expected that the local demand for the Brand will be very large, directly its good qualities and its economical working expenses, viz., about l|d per hour, become known, which it is proposed to effect by judicious advertising and practical demonstrations. As the profit on each brand will be considerable, when turned out in quantities. the shareholders may, look forward to substantial dividends on their shares from the local market ..alone, irrespective of their interests in patent rights, royalties and shares in other parts of the world. ’ It is estimated, on a low basis, that the patent rights for the Brand itself, in the following countries, should realise:— , ' United States of America ... ■ £20,000 Canada ... ... ... 10,000 Argentine ... ... 10,000 The Commonwealth of Australia ... .... ... 15,000 South Africa (four States)' ... ' 12,000 Germany ... ... 8,000 France ... ... ... ... 6,000 Belgium ... ... ... ... ... 3,000 Norway ... 1,500 Sweden ... 1,500 £87,000 If. however, this estimate is reduced by 50 jier cent., the result is still £■13,500. Investors are invited to compare this sum with the Capital of the Company. viz., £12,000, and to note that the rights for Now Zealand would still remain the property of the Company. Verb. sap. The only charge to be made against the Company is the cost of flotation. Copies of Testimonials and Patent Agent’s Certificate are printed in the prospectus, and may be obtained from the Brokers. Applications for. shares will be received up to and inclusive of the 30tn day of June, 1905. Shares will be ‘allotted in order of application until the full number have been applied for. Applications for a considerable number of shares have already been made to the Provisional Directors, so that intending shareholders should apply early. In case of no allotment the moneys for such unallotted shares will be returned in full without interest. ... Demonstrations of the utility of the Brand can be seen at Messrs W. Dimock and Co., Ltd., Waterloo quay, V\ ellineton, by appointment. SIGNWRITING. T)LAIN and Ornamental, in Gold and Colours. TT KIR'S N.Z. FOE YARDING •La. AGENCY.
