MUNICIPAL ABATTOIRS.
STILL IN THE FUTURE. At last night’s meeting of tho City Council the Public Works Committee recommended, “ That the Department of Agriculture be informed that the question of tho erection of an abattoir does not form part of the present loan proposals, and that the question is me that will have to be dealt with by the new Council.” The recommendation was adopted without comment of any kind.
