FREEDOM FROM CRIME.

PRESS ASSOCIATION. TIMARXJ, September 6. A sitting of the Supreme Court opened here this morning, before Mr Justice Denniaton, when a unique position for ’ijimaru was disclosed, there being not a single criminal case to deal with. Following the time-honoured custom, the Sheriff presented his Honor with a pair of while silk glorcs as an emblem of the purity of the district, as shown by the absence of criminal cases. His Honor fittingly acknowledged the gift, and congratulated tho ditsrict on its freedom from crime.
