A certain well-known man of great wealth has lately taken to physical culture. But he does not follow tho fads of the “professors." He has got a way of his own. Ho goes down to his warehouse and rolls barrels and lifts weighty boxes just like his workmen. In noticing the first appearance of Miss 1 Fitzmaurico GUI and Mr Charles Blake at the Melbourne Gaiety tho ‘‘Age’’ says: An innovation, which was well received, ivas the appearance of Miss Fitzmaurico Giil, who is well-known on tho Australlan’melodrnmatic stage, and Mr Charles Blake in a comedy sketch entitled “Rumpus.” The piece itself is not particularly novel, but it is amusing, and was rendered by Miss Gill and Mr Blake in n manner which mot with the warmest applause. Tho part of a. family factotum was taken in an amusing style by' MiFrank Clark. The sketch was well mounted, and the fact materially assisted to make fhe performance effective.
