Thursday. Police-Commissioner Dinnic and Colonel Hume, together with Inspector Kiely, of Wanganui, visited Palmerston North to-day, in connection with, tho accommodation at the local polico colls, 'which is quite inadequate for present monts. It wag’ intimated that plans would be at onco prepared for providing a number of additional cells, and that the work would bo completed in time for tho next sitting of tho Supreme Court, Tho Comm is Muter and Colouel Hume returned to 'Wellington by tho afternoon train.
