A LABOUR AWARD.
AUCKLAND, December 19. Tho-Conciliation Board has "ratified tlio agreement between the Mine Owners’ Association and the miners, amending the expired Arbitration Court award by increasing tho wages of the underground workers at the Thames sixpence a day, permitting freedom of contract, and tho monthly take system. The Waihi rates remain as ‘at present, with a few alterations in regard to surface hands.
