DAMAGE TO CROPS. LONDON. July 29. Three inches of rain foil in London in twenty-four hours. Great damage lias beon done in the Thames Vall’ey, and English harvest prospects are seriously affected. The Glasgow “ Herald ” that the outlook in Scotland is tlie gloomiest for many years. It estimates tho loss at between two and three millions.
