HUNT CLUB ■STEEPLECHASES. paisas ASSOCIATION. NAPIER. July 29. The Hawke’s Bay Hunt Club’s annual steeplechase meeting was held to-dav. There was a good attendance. No totalisator was used. Results: Hunters’ Bracelet Hurdle Race, two miles.—Pharos, 11, 1; The Gun, 11.2, 2j Bushwhacker, 11.3; 3. Won by fifteen, lengths. First Open Flat Race, of 30 sove; once* round.—Balyuocty, 10.10, 1; Taniwha, 10.10 2; Minerva, 10.12, 3. Won comfortably* Hunt Club’s Steeplechase 3 miles.— Gun Metal, 11, 1; Hokovvhitu. 11.9, 2; Draga, 12.9, 3. Open Steeplechase, of 40 sots; two miles and a half Cronje, 12. 1; St.. Lemon, 9.7, 2. Won easily. Hunters’ Flat Race, two miles.—Pharos, It, 1; Gun Metal, 11, 2; Hincwai. 13.9, 3. Won easily. Second Open Flat Race, of 25 eovsj six furlongs.—Merry Kate. 9. 1; Taniwha, 10.4, 2; Inspan, 10.10, 3. Won comfortably. Hunters’ Final Steeplechase, two miles —Counterbiue, 11.10, 1; Bushwhacker. 11l S; The Gun, 11.5 3.
