MASTERTON POULTRY SHOW.

Special to the “ Times.” MASTERTON, July 22 The Wairarapa Poultry, Dog and Pigeon Society’s show was opened to-day when, despite the unfavourable weather’ there was a large attendance. Three hundred and fifty exhibits came forward almost all classes in tho schedule heine represented. Many of the birds shown were very superior, and tho exhibits as a whole were of a high class. In the North Island championship classes for Brahmas and Langshaus the entries were not numerous, hut the quality was lino. A. Simpson, Wellington, secured first and champion in Brahmas with a three-year-old cock bred from Air Bannister's strain; J. T. Simpson, Wellington was second. ’ Tho championship in Langshans was Taken by a black cook bred by Air Priestly of Auckland and owned by Mrs E. H.‘ Hollander. This bird took first prizes at Wellington and Feilding. There were good exhibits in Orpingtons, Wyaudottos and Minorcas. The Leehorns and Andalusians were interestin'l- - and the different classes of Hamburgs showed nice pencilling.
