THE SQUADRON

NARROW ESCAPE OF A COLLISION. SYDNEY' July 22. Prior to tho Wallaroo being struck by torpedoes during the naval manoeuvres at Jorvis Bay on Saturday a collision between the Mildura and the Royal Arthur was narrowly averted. The vessels of the squadron, were steaming in two divisions towards ouch other, when the signal was given to form line. In swinging tho Mildlura barely cleared the flagship.
