AIINING IN THE TRANSVAAL. (Received July 21, 0.4 a.m.) CAPETOWN, July 20. A Select Committoo of the Transvaal Legislative Council which was appointed to deal with the diamond mining laws has disagreed. A majority of the committee recommended that the owner should receive an undivided 25 per cent, share in the mine, the remainder going to the State. The minority recommended, that the owner receive 40 per cent.

Tho committee was unanimous in recommending that tho owner should work tho whole mine.
