The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows:—At our fortnightly sale wo bad a record attendance of buyers, and submitted a catalogue of nearly three thousand skins and thirty-five bales of wool. There was an excellent demand for all,skins and wool. Prices were about id per lb higher than at the previous sale. We quote:—Merino, from 5Jd to. 71d; half-bred, 6d to Old; line crossbred, old to 5Jd; coarse crossbred, 4d to 4}d; lambs, 31 d to 6d per lb; bare pelts, 3d to Is Id each; green' skins, 2s 6d to 3s lid each. Wool —Good crutchings, 3Jd; extra clean, 4d: coarse and dirty, 2Jd to 2Jd; fleece, from 4Jd to sd; pieces, Id to 3d per lb. Murray, Roberta and Co. report:— We offered fifty-five bales wool and 2350 sheepskins. There was a strong muster of buyers, including several representatives of Australian houses. Bidding for all descriptions of wooj and skins was very animated, with an edonal advance in super lots of skins. The wool offering consisted mostly of crutchings and inferior lots of crossbred.
