(Received July 4, 1.17 a.m.) MELBOURNE. July 3. Negotiations in reference to the question of at functions in which tho federal authority is represented are proceeding between- Sir Edmund Barton (federal Premier) and Air Chamberlain. * Tho federal Ministers are not satisfied with a table which has been provisionally approved by the King. The difficulty regarding religion is overcome in this table by placing the Primate and the Cardinal side by side in State processions. The table makes no provision for State Judges. Ministers, or members of Parliament.
