THE BAGDAD RAILWAY.
LONDON, July 2. 11. Deloasse, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, rejected Germany’s offer that France and Germany should each find 40 per cent of the coat of constructing the Bagdad railway. Owing to the imposition of the income tax and fears of progressive taxation in the event of a Socialist regiffio, a large transfer of French capital abroad is taking placo, weakening, Rentes.
