PRESS ASSOCIATION. ATJCKI/ANl>, June 2. The Horn C. H. Mills, Commissioner of Customs, wa© interviewed here on behalf of Messrs Austin, Walsh and Company*, who hare a tobacco plantation in Fiji and. who asked that the raw leaf ffrovni there should be admitted into New Zealand at a shilling a pound less than was charged on other importations. The company desires to start a factory in Auckland, and it was stated that .the concession would lead to the employment of a considerable amount of labour locally. Mr Mills, in reply, said he had already discussed the subject with the • Government at Fiji. It would be fully gone into by the Cabinet on. his return to Wellington.
