The Customs revenue received yesterday totalled £l-173 los lOd. Dalgoty and co., Ltd., Christchurch, have received the following cable message from the head office, Loudon, dated the -Ith inst.—Since our last telegram mutton tallow is lower by Is per cwt. For other descriptions prices aro nominally unchanged. COMMERCIAL CABLES. PRESS ASSOCIATION'. LONDON February 4. Copper, on the spot £55 2s 6a throe months, £.55 17s 6d. Tin, £l3O 10s per ton. Silver, Is Old per ounce. Tallow—At the sales 609 casks were offered and 119 sold. Fine mutton, 35s <Jd per cwt; rest unchanged NAPIER, February 5. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company cables—North Island mutton has fallen a further farthing. The mutton market is depressed and declining; no demand. Quotations —Canterburv, 5d ; Napier. Wellington and North Island. 4Jd; lamb, first quality 7d, second OJd.
