(Received February 5, 9.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 5. At tho stock sales at Homebush today 40.000 sheep wore penned. Prime were firm at a slight advance, other sorts being easier. Best crossbred wethers fetched 15s, good 12s Gd to 13s 6d, medium 9s 6d; best ewes 14s. extra 15s. good 12s to 12s 6d. medium 9s. ‘ Cattle were easier. Best bullocks sold at £l3 6s. extra £l4 12s Gd. good £lO 10». medium £7; best cows £9 15s. extra £ll 7s Cd. good £6 15s, medium £5 15s. Best beef brought about 35s per 1001 b.
