COMMERCIAL EDUCATION

PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, February 4. At a meeting of the Education Hoard to-day appointments of teachers at the Auckland Tech,ideal School were made. It was decided to add agricultural chemistry to the list of subjects for instruction as soon as practicable. Mr George, director, presented a scheme for a course of commercial education. The course extends over a period of four years, and various examinations for which certificates are to bo issued are provided for. The scheme wan forwarded to the Chamber of Commerce with a letter suggesting, that in making commercial appointments preference be given to persons lidding certificates of the school, all tilings being equal. A diploma will ho granted at tho final examination. Mr George said tho school would bo opened about the middle of March.
