IT.ESS ASSOCIATION’. AUCKLAND, November 27. Tho latest returns of the local option poll in the franklin district indicate that continuance was carried by a majority of thirty-six. Thoro is still one return to come. PAKROA, November 27. Continuance was carried in Ohinomuri. Tho votine was: —Continuance 1955, reduction 32(32, prohibition 1805. MAKTON, November 27. Tho local option poll for Manawatu resulted:—Continuance, 15D5; reduction, 1105 ; no-lieenso, 1398. CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. The final figures give tho result of rnc local option poll at Solwyn as follows: Continuance, 1269 ; reduction, 1602 ; no. license, 1785. DUNEDIN, November 27. ‘ In tho local option poll at Chalmers prohibition was curried by a majority of 32. Tho Mount Ida local option returns are not yet complete. With five small returns to come, which aro not likely to affect tho result, tho figures aro:—Continuance, 1452; reduction, 1154; nolioenso, 1376. It is now understood that prohibition was lost in the Bruce electorate by 53 votes. INVERCARGILL, November 27. Tho polling in Awnrua was:—Continuance, 1504; reduction, 1812; prohibition, 2211. The number of votes cast is believed to he 3716.
