LORD HAWKE’S TEAM. CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. The . secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council has received a cable message stating that Lord Hawke’s team arrived at San Francisco to-day. Tho itinerary of tho tour will be fixed on Satur. day. LONDON, November 26. Tho "Sportsman" says the first-class cricket counties will receive nearly £2OO each as their share of the proceeds of the late test matches, and the minor counties nearly £SO each. Tho senior cricket matches for to-mor-row afternoon on the Basin Reserve are Wellington v. Midland and Phoenix v. Old Boys. The various third-class games commenced last Saturday will be resumed tomorrow afternoon. The Johnsonville Club drew a bye in the present round, but the team will be engaged at Johnsonvilie against J. J* Curtis and Co. s employees. The following players will represent Johnsouville: —Moore (3), Eason <2), Picken, London. Bethuno, Bentley, Cook (captain) and Carroll. A> match was played on Tuesday be* tween teams representing E. Benjanun and O. and P. Hayman and Co., the latter winning by 55 runs on the first inmn<rs • Scores —B. Benjamin and Co.. 58 (Bowatt 18); P. Hayman and Co 113 (Taylor 33, Bead 18, Chant 14, Hawthorne H. Holcroft 10). Watson and Roberts bowled well for the losers, and Taylor and Read for the winners.
