Tho “Daily Chronicle” states that JMr Kruger has commissioned General SchaJkhurger to appeal to Mr Chamberlain to permit him to return to South Africa, conditional on his loyal acceptance of British rule and abstention from politics. Mr Kruger declared; “My only wish is to end my days in the land of my own people.”
