MAG ISTRATE’S COURT.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2G. (Before Messrs Robert McKenzie and William McAlpine.) Two first-offending inebriates were convicted ami discharged. John Gibson was fined 10s. , A prohibition order was granted against Henry W. Agate. A man named Thomas Rushton was fined 10s, or forty-eight hours, for a second offence yf drunkenness, and 40s. or fourteen days, for indecency. For having permitted their horses to bo at largo on tho x>ubiic streets, Malachi Taylor and John Hicks were each fined Is, with 9s costs. William Burman pleaded guilty under provocation to having unlawfully assaulted George Baker. Mr Tolhurst appeared for tho complainant. The defendant was bound over to keep the peace for six months in one surety of £lO, and was ordered to- pay £2 9s costs. Henry Elliott Aubrey Cameron denied having stolen a horse valued at £ll, tho property of D. Tucker, at Wanganui. On Mho application of SubInspector O’Donovan, tho accused was remanded to appear at Palmerston on, tho 3rd December. Bail was granted.
