Tho Customs revenue received yesterday totalled £1842 10s 9d,
Dalgcty and Co., Ltd,. Christchurch, have received the following cablegram from London, dated 25th inst;—Th-.-wool sales opened to-day with a fair selection. There was a very large attendance of buyers, and competition was animated. As compared with the closing rates of last series, prices of good merino wools are, on the average, 10 per cent, higher, inferior and faulty merino 5 per cent, higher,, fine crossbred 10 per cent, higher and medium and coarse crossbred 15 to 20 per cent, higher.
Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. hare, received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated the 25th inst..:—A poor selection is offering, chiefly, inferior crossbreds. Qood merino advanced 5 per cent.: faulty and inferior descriptions advanced a shade. Fine crossbred advanced 10 per cent. Coarso to medium crossbred greasy advanced 15 to 20 per cent. Coarso greasy crossbred descriptions arc relatively dearest. Coarse to medium scoured, efttsshrod advanced 10 to 15 per cent. Crossbred slipo advanced 10 to 15 per cent.
Tho United Farmers* Co-operativo Association, Limited has received the following cable from London:—Fine crossbreds. 10 per cent dearer; medium. 20 per cent dearer; coarso, 20 per cent, dearer, as compared with last sales. .
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile -Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable from,their London house, dated the 25th inst.: — ‘‘Wool—*Tho sales opened this day. Since close of last sales prices are Id to l£d per lb higher for greasy crossbred. Since close of last sales prices are per lb higher for merino. Crossbred market brisk.”

The November of wool sales opened very brisk, with prices at from 5 to 20 per cent advance as compared with the closing sales of last series. SYDNEY, November 20. At the Sydney and Melbourne wool sales competition was keen for good sorts at recently-established levels. Inferior sorts were slightly better. THE GRAIN MARKET. DUNEDIN. November 26., Wheat—There is keen demand, especially for prime milling, and some high prices have been given for choice lots. Fowl wheat has commanded much attention, owing to demand from Australia.. November 26. At Burnside market to-day, 154 cnttld were yarded. Prices ruled tho same as last week. Best bullocks £ll 10s io £l3 ss, medium £9 10s to £ll, best, cows and heifers £9 to £IC ss, medium £7 10s to £S 17s Gd. Sheep—l 622 penned. Prices wore unchanged. Best wethers 21s to 245, medium 18s to 20« Gd, shorn to 18s 9d., best ewes 20s to 23s Gd, medium 16s Gd to 10s Gd, slioru-Mp to 15s Ud. Lambs—3oo. Prices ruled slightly firmer. Best lambs 12s Od to 14s, medium to good 10s to 12s Cd. X J igs—6o. All classes met very brisk sale. Suckers 14s *to 19s, alips 20s to 245, stores. 20s to 30s, porkers 34s to 38s, bucoucrs 40s to 625, heavy pigs up to 90s. CHRISTCHURCH, November 26. At Addington to-day tho entries were only medium, except in tho case of fat sheep, which were in largo supply. Fat Cattle—l 73 came forward, for which there was just enough demand to cause a clearance. Prices wore about the same as last week. Per 1001 b hoof was worth 80s to 36s and per head sales, were effected as follows Prime beeves, of which there were several, from £l3 15s to £ls KK ordinary trade steers £8 10s to £l3 ss, heifers £5 15s to £9 V 10s, cows £5 10s to £ll ss, ana ono specially good beast at £l3 2s 6d. Fat sboop.—Tho demand was fair, prices being rather easier. Most of tho sheep were in tho wool. Freezers brought from 16s to IDs Del, lighter weights and unfinished sorts 15s 4d to 16s 6d, freezing ewes 14s to 17s lOd, medium butchers’ ewes 10s to 13s. The market opened at last week’s prices, but as tlio sale progressed ewes for export hardened. . Fat lambs. —Thero wore 880 in tho pons. Freezing sorts fetched 13s 4d to IGs 3d, representing a drop of Is per bead on last week’s. Butchers’ lambs brought 12s 9d to 17s. # Pigs.—Tho entry was fair, but tlio demand slack. Porkers ran from 28s to 38s, or 41d to 5d per lb; stores 15s to 235, smaller stores 11s to los, weaners 9s to 10s’; baconers fetched 40s to 60s, and two exceptional pens C6s to 70s, or 4jd to 5d per lb, LONDON.
