•"Mice and Men” ran its appointed course at the Adelaide Eoyal—the one week, beyond which it is rash to tempt fortune in that city. Business for that week was excellent. George Musgrove told an interviewer that, for an absolute fact, the piece is better played here than it was in London. There is now being played "A Modern Magdalen.” by Hadden Chamhers---"first production in any country.” Adelaide, remembering its early privileges in connection with "The Toreador” and "Sherlock Holmes," begins to wonder whether it is a critical centre whose approval must at all hazards be gained iu advance, or merely the convenient Dog on whom experiments are tried. —"Bulletin.” The Hawtrey Comedy Company have staged "In the Soup” at Melbourne Bijou. The author of the comedy is Mr Ealph Inmley.
