ENGLAND AND THE BOERS
LONDON, November G. Mr Chamberlain states that seventythousand Boers out of a 'hundred and twenty-three thousand in the concentration camps have been repatriated. The camps are stui costing £200,000 a month. All except three thousand Boer prisoners will have been repatriated before Christmas. LONDON, November 6. The War Office has cabled to Lora Milner regretting its inability to accept a Boer Contingent for active sendee in Somaliland. (Received November 7, 10.25 p.m.) LONDON, November 7. A Bill providing for loans of eight millions to the South African colonies from the Consolidated Fund has been read a first time.
