Before "Sherlock Holmes" is presented in Melbourne by the Williamson Dramatic Company next month Mr Cuyler Hastings will arrive from America to present the detective hero. Mr Hastings succeeded Mr Wm. Gillette in the character in the States, and he was specially engaged by Mr Williamson’s New York representative for the Australian season. The Steele-Payne Company of Bellringers are at present touring Western Australia. Miss Alma Gray, who recently toured the Dix circuit, goes to England shortly, having been booked for a season in Edinburgh at Christmas. The Fisk Jubilee Singers commenced a short season at the Athenaeum Hall, Melbourne, on the 9th inst.
