SUPREME COURT.

CIVIL CASES. The following fixtures wore made yesterday by his Honor tho Chief Justice for the civil sittings, commencing on Alonday next, Alonday being set aside for those divorce cases of which tlio parties are ready. Tlio divorce cases are:—Jane Innis v. Henry Innis, dissolution of marriage,' Edward Martin Turner v. Agnes Turner, nullity of marriage; Alarulo AYeedon v. Charles AVccdon, dissolution of marriage; Alary AlcFarlano v. Charles AlcFarlaue, dissolution of marriage; Annie McFariano v. Hugh AlcFarlano, dissolution of "marriage; Edwin John Hoskins v. Hilda Eugcno Hoskins and James Walsh, dissolution of marriage; Morris v. Morris, dissolution of marriage ; Carmen v. Carmen, dissolution of marriage. On Tuesday, the 19th inst., AVilliam Vickorstaff v. Thomas Aloore and others, for accounts, will be heard before a Judge alone. Air Myers for defendant.

On AVednesday, tho case Catherine Taylor v. James MoAlpino will ho tried by a common jury of four, tho suit being for £ICO, alleged to liavo hr on received on behalf of plaintiff, and £39 interest, Air Young appearing for the plaintiff, and Air Jullicoo for defendant. Tlio Free AVlieel Company v. tho Adams Star Cycle Company, Limited, and another, will also ho heard on AVednesday before a Judge. Tlio case is one of infringement of patent. Air Travers will appear for plaintiffs, and Air Stringer for defendants. On Thursday, tiie case of George Turner Croft v. Frederic Brittain Lo-we.s, for possession of land and £6O rent, will ho heard before a Judge alone, AH AViiford appearing for plaintiff, and Air Pownall for defendant.

On Friday, tho case Ernest Nelson v. Andrew Laing, for £2OO damages and possession of a gelding, will ho tried before a Judge alone, Mr Baldwin appearing for tiie plaintiff, and Air VViltord for defendant.

On Tho 25th inst., Edward Frank Yuilo v. Joseph Alandei, suit for £IOOO for alleged slander, will bo Hied before a common jury of twelve, Air AViiford appearing for plaintiff, and Air Brown for defendant.

A broach of promise case, Sarah Johnson v. Edward John Burt, claim £SOO damages, will be heard before a common jury of twelve, on tlio 25th inst. Air AViiford will appear for the plaintiff, and Air Coleman for defendant. The 2Gth inst. lias oeen set .apart for the hearing of tho case Florence AJary Banks v. Thomas Kelly, for £5Ol for alleged slander, to bo heard before a common juiy of twelve.

Tho case James Wilson and another v. AVilliam Crowthors Fitz Gerald, £B4l 13s being claimed for alleged broach d agreement, will bo heard on the 27th inst.

On the 28th the case AVilliam. Crowthers Fitz Gerald v. Thomas Turnbull, £I2OO, for alleged breach of agreement, will bo taken. The cases of Edward Joshua Riddiford v. Egbert Feist,and Edward Joshua Riddiford v. Timothy Twomey. for possession of land, will he heard on the Ist September. On the same d*to a suit will be heard for £IO,OOO, for alleged fraud and conspiracy, AVilliam Mitchell being plaintiff, and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, and others, defendants, Air Jcllicoe appearing for plaintiff, and Air Bell for defendant company. Howe v. the City Corporation, a compensation case, will be heard on the 4th September. A claim for £16,000, or return of mortgage securities on payment of £BOOO, by William Reid . against tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, will bo heard before a Judge alone on tlio sth September, Air Chapman appearing for plaintiff, and Air Alycrs for defendant company. Before a special jury of four a suit to settle a special case in which Fairfield Thompson is plaintiff and the Wellington Land Board defendants, will be hoard on the Bth September. Dates have not yet been allotted to several other cases.
