THE LUMPERS’ STRIKE.
TOWNSVILLE Juno 23. The strike on the wharf affects Messrs Howard Smith and Sons, Messrs Burns, Philp.and Co., and the Adelaide companies. Steamers are being delayed, although all the permanent hands ami the clerks of the companies are assisting to’ get them away. Both sides appear firm.
