PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, June 23. A store occupied by Mr Jobn Jones, in Sydenham, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. The outbreak was caused apparently by a defective chimney. The stock was insured for £375 in the Australian Alliance Office, and the furniture for £75 in the Royal. The property belonged to Mrs James Brown, and was insured for £2OO in the Guardian office. FEILDING, June 23. A house owned and occupied by a Mr Harrison at Colyton was burned to the ground last night. Insurances with the Phoenix Company amounted to £3OO.
