Information from South Africa states that Lord Methuen was seriously tt'ounded. The South Island battalion of the Ninth Contingent left Port Chalmers yesterday, for South Africa. In a speech at Glasgow, Lord Rosebery said he bad no designs on the leadership of the Liberal party.
