HOBART, January 17. The Congress of the Australasian Association for the Advancement cf Science, has concluded its session. On the niouoii of Professor Derham, of Dunedin, a resolution was carried in favour of more effective measures fer the conservation of forests. The Congress also adopted resolutions in favour of setting aside areas to secure a pure water supply for towns, taking measures to prevent the spread of phthisis, and recommending that at least one tuberculosis sanatorium bo provided in every’ Slate.
