(Received January 16, 10.42 p.m.) LONDON, January 16. An Imperial edict issued at Pekin enjoins the protection and respect of missionaries and converts, and degrades the former Boxer civil Governor of Pekin, and dismisses officials who were his aocoihplices, on the ground that they, exaggerated the Boxers’ occult power and misled the Throne.
