Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd. will self at the Palmerston North show ground at 10 am., to-day a' quantity cf valuable purebred Ayrshire and Jersey cattle, Berk, shire and Temworth pigs, horses, etc., all of which were exhibited at the show. The sum of .£IOO will take over a twelve years' unexpired lease, with right of purchase, of a wellJsituated farm, which winters 1800 sheep and 80 head of cattle. Mr J. Wareham, late of the Club Hotel* Stratford, announces that he has taken over the Empire Hotel. Eeilding, which has been thoroughly renovated and refurnish, ed throughout. Messrs Cl ere and Swan call for tenders for additions to a honse in Bolton street. Mr .T. Charlesworth invites tenders for rebuilding in brick Oxley’s Hotel at Rioton. At the top of our "wanted” column Messrs Warnook and Adkin give particulars of a big purchase of table linens. In spite of the boisterous weather last evening, a large number of art lovers attended the electric light display of pir, tures at Messrs Turnbull, Watkins and Williams’s auction rooms in Panama street. The collection comprises a choice lot of steel engravings, photogravures, platinotypes, chromos. etc., and some very fine studies by Bylands and Sir Frederick Leighton, R.A. The auctioneers state that as there is a big lot to dispose of the sale will commence tc-day at 2.30 p.m. punctually. Pearce, Ravenhill and Co. advertise a country store, an exceptionally cheap bar. vain. The profits are £4, IQs a week.
