Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., will hold a sale of stock at Palmerston North on Thursday next. On Saturday they will sell horses and a station buggy, harness, etc., on behalf of Mr H. J. Turner. A notice to passengers by tho steamer Paparoa appears in this issue. Messrs iiarcourt and Co. will sell by auction at their rooms, 48. Lamhton quay, at 2.30 p.m. to.day, the privileges at the Wellington Racing Club’s Spring Meeting to be held on the Hutt Park Racecourse on November 21st and 23rd. The grandstand bar is 50ft long and ia fitted with a circular counter and extensive shelving. Its central positioli is such that it carries all the best custom with it. No 1 and No. 2 publicans’ booths, which are under the people’s stand, are always ex. tensively patronised. The public luncheon rooms during the greater portion of tho day are crowded, and in the luncheon in, terval large numbers have simply to wait their turn. Messrs Macdonald, Wilson and Co will submit to auction to.day at their rooms at 2.30 o’clock several city properties, amongst which will be found a valuable residence of five rooms and land in Princes street, to bo submitted at an upset price; a house of eight rooms, nearly new. and land 48 X' 112 in Devon street, arid a valuable reel. ( dence of seven rooms, etc., and land 22 x 125 in Taranaki street. A section of land at Khandallah. which was advertised for sale to.day, has been withdrawn. Messrs Levien, Shallcrass and Co. ad. vertise a sale of prize dogs to be held at their rooms this morning, and also chaff, etc., immediately after. Investors, speculators and those in search' of their own freeholds are now reminded of the important sale of valuable freehold landed properties to be held by Messrs J. H. Bethune and Co., at tbeir rooms, Featherston street, to.day, at 2.30 p.m., when they will sell by instructions from Mr W. B. Woods, who is leaving Welling, ton, his magnificent freehold property, paid of section No. 161. Wellington, having a frontage of 40ft to Ghuznee street, by a depth of 136 ft, with modern S.roomed villa residence thereon known as ‘'Forthside.” now in the occupation of Mr F. M. Solo, mons, and a new factory at rear occupied by “The W .E. Woods Peppermint Cure Company." This will afford an exception, al opportunity for the safe investment of capital, being in tile centre of tho most thickly populated part of Wellington.
