The Customs returns for yesterday amounted to £5393 8s 2d. Messrs Gr. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. (in conjunction with Messra AbraJjam,

and Williams) report as to their Johnsonville sale yesterday that they had an average entry of bullocks of good quality throughout. Notwithstanding the presence of a Southern buyer, the demand was not so keen as last week, and prices were easier by Is per 1001 b. A short supply of sheep were well competed for. The wethers were only light weights, but the ewes were of prime quality. Only one pen of lambs came forward, for which good value was offered and refused. Quotations are: Best bullocks, £9 15s to £lO ss; medium weight do, £8 17s 6d to £9 12s 6d; small do, £8 to £8 10s; wethers, 14s 6d; prime ewes, 15s lOd to 17s; light ewes, 14s 3d; sow in pig, 325.
